Restaurant and Café
option 2

type: hospitality

client: private

location: Koper, Slovenija

project date: 2015

completion date: in progress

floor area:

The second proposal was a more conservative one, with smaller interventions that required simpler construction techniques.

All roofs would be flat (green roofs). This proposal foresees similar ideas to the first one as far as flooring and façade openings is concerned but is more focused on the interior of the buildings. With several timber details on walls and ceilings and a combination of fabric and patterned ceramic tiles used in interior décor, warmth and cosiness is achieved.

While the seaside façade is almost completely glazed, the one facing the road is now closed with a grey brick perforated wall that would eventually be covered with climbing plants. The only part of the south façade to stand out is the new main entry to the restaurant and the ice cream parlour on the corner.
