The owner of a well-known kebab shop in Ljubljana wants to renovate and refresh his business by creating a new modern space with a clear influence of the traditional Balkan design.

We have divided the originally open space into two separate parts. The front is visible from the outside (the costumers) so it is decorated with patterned tiling that also reflects on the façade. To not make the entire space too colourful and cramped, the tiles are black and white, combined with a touch of wood which also makes the environment cosy and homely. The centre of the kebab shop are, naturally, the three kebabs based right in the middle of the front space.
