House Sentjakob is a modern new build located in a village just minutes out of Ljubljana. Its design seeks to create a contemporary single-family home with two volumes positioned in a way to exploit natural light throughout the day. The northern façade facing the street is mostly plain, to create intimacy and inspire mystery. The two façades facing the east and west gardens are glazed and open widely into the outsides.

The house is a minimalist wood and steel structure, covered in a wooden shell that enhances the sharp edges and influences the main form of the building.

The outside area on the west side of the house includes a terraced seating area with a dining table. At the end of the garden there is a private spa pavilion facing the main house.

The design allows constant invasion of the greenery and the view to the inside of the house, while maintaining privacy to the inhabitants from the neighbours in the neighbourhood.
