The house sits on a terraced terrain configuration. The bottom volume is dug into the terrain with only its stone facade showing out, therefore diminishing the spacial impact on the landscape.

It is conceived as a pedestal for the upper volume, which leans slightly over towards the valley below. The corner window in the living space further enhances its design intent.

​

The division of volumes is resembled also in space configuration. The bottom volume comprises secondary functions such as a guest apartment, a covered parking, an office, a storage room and entrance hall.

 

The upper volume serves as the living part of the house and opens to its backyard on the south where we step onto a spacious terrace with a summer kitchen and a swimming pool.
