The existing house is a timber construction with two steel pillars in the centre of the living room. To connect them to the interior design of the space, the two were used as part of the sofa which seems to be hanging from the pillars.
The staircase and the kitchen form a single element and create a bond between what was built and what was brought in the house afterwards.
The top floor is mostly bedrooms and bathrooms. The two children now have a single large room/playroom that can later on be divided into two separate bedrooms so they have more privacy when they are older.
