The client’s wish was a modern home with a strong classical influence, especially considering shapes and materials of furniture and accessories.
The floor plan is open and simple, a typical contemporary layout, whereas colours and furniture design follow the pattern of a more classical style. In most rooms wallpaper is used, only the two rooms in the attic (a bedroom and a home office) have grey painted walls. All sleeping spaces have hardwood floors in a fishbone pattern, living and service spaces are floored in ceramic tiles. The staircase and the railing are metal to add a touch of an industrial feel to the design.
